Can it be replicated in lagos?

Can Godfatherism be totally eradicated in our society?

The last weekend election in Edo state has further confirmed that EdoNoBeLagos as strongly echoed by Edolites.

The election has come and gone with Victors and vanquished fom save the state treasury.

However, the unceremonious sack of National Chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomole and the inparty discord in APC didn't help matters.

Now the deemed desperate video which seems like the last straw to break the camel's back by Tinubu may have futher swung the pendulum towards Godwin Obaseki.

The issue of Godfatherism is one that has long been of debate with some citing cogent reasons that the name howbeit has been bastardized.

It may mean a political mentor just like in every field, one who would put one in line and has vast experiences and also cited foreign examples,

But critics have condemned it saying they've become *kingmakers* and the protege their _stooge_ to achieve political power. Ambode experience in lagos was a cogent example

Now the question is

Just like Oshiomole went for 8 yrs and thus became an influential figure.

Same could be said for Obaseki after 8 years and also one cannot deny the impact Nyesom Wike had on him during the election.

Will Obaseki not metamorphose to a _godfather_ after 8 years?

Is the Godfatherism tag a facade?

Can we totally eradicate this normality from our grassroots.

Only time will tell.
