Sexually Harassed Females Speak Out the Unspoken With Toyin Adepoju!

ADÉYEMO E.O kàkàkíOgbón

There have been deafening cries in the silent hearts and bowels of countless Nigerian children and youths, females especially! Various reports have consistently dazed humanity with terrible dramas in which religion and morality leaders, half brothers, step parents and guardians, even biological parents, take strange advantage of children and growing feelings – most recordedly females.

Sometimes, the insulting looks, touches, words… those play with the sensitive areas without concent, those shouting down, those deprivation of inheritance, table opportunities, societal disregard and all forms of basic gender violence are not left out in this discourse.
Who do we blame? The society that has saliently placed the females  on a second to the other pedestal, the careless mothers who expose their daughters to assaults or do not allow and encourage them to speak bold against assaults? Or the religion leaders who end up pinning the spirit for the free flow of evil – molesting children and youths sexually, emotionally , and psychologically, leaving them to ever cry in silence and die under the Unspoken!
Who do we blame? Where is the space of the government in these cases? Has the law ever helped? Does it? Can it?

Toyin Adepoju is a loving and radical journalist and humanitarian, who has taken it upon herself to bring punctured humanity with passionate humanitarians. She lunches this great thought provoking discourse on Splash 105.5 fm, Ibadan, Nigera. The program which takes up at 3pm.(GMT +1), would hence be on air every Thursday, and it is not only interested in hearing out human predicaments as they speak the unspoken, but to likewise be of great help to all.
And souls would never again die in silence under the unspoken!
